Early Life & Entrepreneurial Beginning
Born in 1960 in Munshiganj, Md. Mosharaf Hossain is a visionary Bangladeshi industrialist and the Founder & Chairman of Mosharaf Group. He began his entrepreneurial journey in 1982 with a modest investment in fishing net trading, laying the foundation for what would become one of Bangladesh’s most diversified and respected conglomerates.
Business Growth & Diversification
Over the past four decades, Mr. Hossain has expanded into a wide range of sectors including fertilizers, food grains, coal, cold storage, dyes & chemicals, textiles, apparel, poultry, and feed mills. His leadership has created thousands of jobs and contributed significantly to the national GDP. Notably, Mosharaf Group operates five spinning mills with 250,000 spindles, advanced knitting, dyeing, and printing facilities, and is the exclusive Bangladesh partner of Spain’s ASUTEX through Asuchem Ltd.
Leadership Roles & Recognition
Mr. Hossain currently serves as President of the Bangladesh Cold Storage Association, Director of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association, and is a member of FBCCI and the Munshiganj Chamber of Commerce. His contributions to trade and industry have earned him the CIP Award (2014) and multiple National Export Trophies.
Commitment to Social Welfare
Beyond business, Mr. Hossain is actively involved in social welfare, education, and community development. He has served as Chairman of Rampal Union Parishad, Munshiganj, and continues to support numerous educational institutions and community initiatives.
